Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
TCM is a five thousand year old methodology of holistic healing. In ancient China, doctors made a comprehensive study of man in relation to his natural environment. They observed the influence of the sun, moon, stars, the climate and living conditions on humans. TCM considers man as an integral part of the universe and is based on the unity of body and mind. A healthy person is in balance with himself and the environment.
TCM uses the diagnosis of pulse and tongue to outline symptoms as well as the causes of an illness. Acupuncture, herbs and tuinamassage – or a combination of the three – stimulate the self-healing ability of body and mind. For thousands of years these techniques have proven their effectiveness to prevent and cure disease.
